Park City Wedding Planner: How To Choose Your Decor Style For Your Wedding
How To Choose Your Decor Style For Your Wedding
Style is all about personal taste. When couples ask me what the look should be for their upcoming Park City wedding, I ask them a series of questions. A wedding should be a reflection of you and your personality. If you are a glitz and glam kind of gal, chandeliers should be hanging from the ceilings and worked into that gorgeous ranch style barn wedding. If you are laid back and like simple, rustic, and tasteful, twinkle lights hanging over your guest tables may be the way to go. There are so many items that involve style for a wedding, here are just a few to consider.
Color is a great place to start for planning the decor for your wedding. Choose your color palette that will be beautiful all across your planning decor. A wedding inspiration board or Pinterest is a great place to start. When a couple first contacts me after getting engaged, I always ask them to email me their Pinterest page link. This shows me what their wedding vision is from the beginning and helps with the direction of their wedding planning.
Furniture is another piece to your wedding that is fun to bring in custom pieces such as farm style tables, dark wood chairs, Chiavari chairs, benches, and gorgeous cow hide rugs for a luxury ranch theme. Have fun with this and really make it your own.
When choosing your flowers, there are many items to keep in mind and to keep the look of your design concept consistent throughout. Bouquets, boutonnières, corsages, centerpieces, accent table arrangements, ceremony alter pieces, aisle pieces, are just a few to name.
Twinkle lights and uplights are just a few ideas. Lighting and candles completely change the mood of any wedding. I personally don’t think you can ever have too many candles.
These days invitations can be custom made to even please the most imaginative bride. This may involve letterpress or laser cut save the dates, invitations, escort cards, table numbers, programs and menu cards.
Ceiling treatment is something that often gets over looked. This could be from swag that hangs from the ceiling or chandeliers or a combination of both.
Brides and grooms are looking for someone to trust and rely on to plan and design their magical destination wedding.
That is what I do.
