Park City Wedding Planner: Mountainside Chic – Destination Wedding
Within 15 minutes of downtown Main St in Park City there are gorgeous ranches for the wedding day itself. There are also some options for staying there the week of the wedding. Our beautiful wedding was on a luxury ranch with over 200 acres, more than 16,000 feet of living space, and a private half mile of river running through the property.
Our couple wanted to keep the wedding day very casual and comfortable. Our groom wore a nice suit and our bride wore a beautiful non traditional dress and fabulous pair of cowgirl boots. The boots were branded with her wedding date for the personalized touch.
I always tell our brides and grooms that the weather changes quick in our area. This year was no exception to that. Our fall wedding turned into a bit of winter wonderland last September with 48 hours notice.
Guests were shuttled from downtown Park City to the ranch because our lovely couple wanted to have an all day celebration for their friends and family to enjoy. After the ceremony at 2 pm, guests had a relaxing day that included Jenga, cards, corn hole, fishing, and watching sports in the indoor movie theater.
Since our bride was originally from San Diego, we went with a fun taco bar for lunch. Dinner began with butler-passed hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. Dinner was delicious. It included mesquite-grilled salmon with granny smith apple chutney, grass-fed local beef tenderloin medallions with julienne vegetables and yucca crisps. Dessert included a flaming donut station with homemade gelato.
Our couple wanted to be sure that their guests had options for departure times when they were going home. Shuttles arrived three different times for guest’s convenience.
With the sudden snow storm, the inside main living room was transformed into a dining area with farm tables, round tables, string lighting, and drapery.
Centerpieces were a combination of mercury glass, candles, and assorted jewel toned flowers on farm tables with lace runners.
