Many couples that get married in Park City do a destination wedding. Here are a few tips for your wedding weekend to keep in mind.

1.  Visit Park City Deer Valley before your wedding day.

Take a few days to enjoy Park City Deer Valley before your wedding day with your fiancé 2-5 months before your wedding. It is a great idea to meet with your planner and go to your venue, do a tasting, and wrap up any details. It is also peace of mind when you’ve been there before hand. Doing simple things such as a walk through at the venue and layout in advance makes you feel much better when you head home. You will be able to visualize all details when talking to your planner.

2.  Get a local professional full service wedding planner.

Having a local wedding planner will save you many headaches. A local planner will know who is the best fit for you in each category you need for your wedding day. They will be your best investment for your wedding. They will know which professionals are the right fit for you and be in the know with all wedding details in your city.

3.  Have a welcome party.

Thursday when guests arrive have welcome bags delivered to your wedding guest hotels. I don’t know anybody who doesn’t love a thoughtful gift upon check in to their hotel. It can be as lavish or simple as you like. What matters the most is the thoughtfulness that your wedding guests will feel that you cared enough to give them one and welcome them to Park City. Be sure their welcome bag has an insert with wedding weekend itinerary and an invite to meet for drinks that night at one of our local saloons.

4.  Have a Sunday send off for your guests.

Sunday send offs are a great way to say good bye to your wedding guests that flew into town. Brides and grooms do brunches, casual breakfast, or even have guests come to their hotel suite for bagels, coffee, and mimosas for a quick good bye.
